T-Pain Accused of Lifting Arijit Singh’s ‘Tum Hi Ho’ Melody
In T-Pain’s latest song, ‘That’s Yo Money,’ a recurring flute melody is used which sounds uncannily similar to the Hindi song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from the movie Aashiqui 2, which became a chart-topped and a fan favorite when it released in 2013.
T-Series, who own the rights to ‘Tum Hi Ho’ complained of copyright infringement.
American rapper T Pain was accused by filmmaker Mohit Suri and musician Mithoon for plagiarising the hit track Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui in his latest single “That’s Yo Money”.

Following the plagiarism claim, the song, which was released on December 13, was taken down from YouTube, after T-Series, who own the rights to ‘Tum Hi Ho’ complained of copyright infringement.
The song still exists on other channels and on Twitter, as well as T-Pain’s official tweet releasing it.
While copying music, or plagiarising content is not a new thing in the entertainment industry, it’s brings a great shame when the things get caught. The issue is only growing with each passing day and has taken a rather serious turn.
